On September 13, John Boyle, past Grand Knight of Holy Family Council, participated in Flags on the 48, an annual event to commemorate September 11, 2001. Hikers fly a flag on top of all the 48, Four Thousand foot mountains of New Hampshire to honor and remember all those we lost on that fateful day, and at the same time, to celebrate the strength, resolve, and goodness that is the true fabric of America. John gave a talk to a group of hikers on top of Cannon Mountain, where they had gathered under the flag of Captain Doug DiCenzo, U.S. Army, killed in action in May of 2006. Doug was a Plymouth resident, President of his Class at Plymouth High in 1995, a 1999 graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point, and member of Saint Matthew’s parish.
Our local K of C Council stands with John in honoring those who lost their lives and their families left behind on 9/11. We also stand behind John as he represents true patriotism in our local community offering support to our vets, military personnel and their families.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
